Lita Beth Wright

Lita Beth is a founding member of Amini LLC and a seasoned commercial litigator. A fierce advocate for her clients, she litigates complex commercial disputes with precision and skill.

Lita Beth brings 30 years of litigation experience to the table both inside and outside the courtroom. Since the start of her practice, she has tried cases resulting in hundreds of millions of dollars in awards and settlements. One notable case involved leading a trial team to recover a $56 million settlement for her client who subsequently named her to its board of directors.

Licensed in New York and New Jersey, Lita Beth has tried cases in the state and federal courts as well as Delaware Chancery Court. She excels at engaging and strategizing with clients at each stage of the legal process, putting them at ease even when litigation is at its most challenging.

Lita Beth co-founded Amini LLC alongside Bijan Amini and Avery Samet in 2019 with a shared vision to build an exceptional team of trial lawyers. As a leading member, she mentors and trains our lawyers and paraprofessionals to provide our clients with exceptional service.

Since 2016, Lita Beth has been annually recognized as a Top Business Litigation attorney in New York. This distinction is only granted to the top 5% of attorneys in the state after a rigorous selection process.


Significant Litigation Victories & Notable Cases:  

  • $56 Million Intellectual Property Settlement. Secured $56 million settlement for tech start-up ZoomEssence against International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc., one of the world’s largest flavor and fragrance companies, in a major trade secret litigation. (See more: ZoomEssence Settlement).
  • High Stakes Probate Litigation. Lead counsel for widow in $100 million probate lawsuit against late husband’s estate, where we obtained an Appellate Division decision disqualifying Am Law 200 firm, because of law firm’s conflicts from decade-long joint estate planning representation of widow and late husband.
  • Law Firm Malpractice. Represent widow in a malpractice action arising from the joint representation of her and her late husband against Am Law 200 firm that was disqualified in the related probate litigation.
  • Defense of Tech Start-Up. Defeated claims by venture fund attempting to acquire additional shares in our RFID-tech startup client.
  • Negotiated Executive Exit. Successfully negotiated the highly contentious exit of the Chief Executive Officer of a global brand.
  • Millions for Defrauded Bank. Recovered millions on behalf of an international bank from an Am Law 100 firm that failed to conduct due diligence into a Ponzi schemer. 
  • Dismissed Federal Contempt Charges. Successfully defended senior partner of a boutique law firm in federal court against contempt charges sought by the federal government.
  • Employee Defense. Defending government contracting consultants from multi-million-dollar claims of disloyalty brought by a former employer, a top-five accounting firm.
  • Fraudulent Transfer Trial.Obtained jury verdict for trustee against real estate investor recovering fraudulent transfers. Recovered four times the value of the transfer with interest and attorney’s fees and successfully defended the judgment on appeal to the Second Circuit.
  • Victory Against Insurance Company. After a bench trial and appeal to Second Circuit, obtained permanent injunction directing a major insurance carrier to provide coverage to a metastatic breast cancer patient for treatment they improperly deemed experimental, and awarded legal fees.
  • Fraud Trial. As co-counsel, obtained an eight-figure jury verdict against a factor, garment wholesaler and a prominent New York accounting firm in a complex commercial fraudulent invoicing scheme. Obtained Second Circuit reversal of post-trial dismissal of fraud claim against the accounting firm.
